Zilor was founded in 1946 under the name Zillo Lorenzetti, last names of the families that started the company’s activities producing sugar and ethanol. In 2007 the company came to be known as Zilor, a change that expresses the company’s modernization and its diversification business-wise.

The company diversified its business by adapting its industrial units to generate clean and renewable electric energy from biomass and the production of natural ingredients destined for human and animal consumption.
